 Org Management:

The Org structure in CRM can be different from ECC.

 There is no limits on the levels that can be used in structure of CRM system.

 Org can be created as BP. System automatically creates an account with role “Org unit”.

You can specify validity when editing Org units.

 For example, a new sales office will open on the first of January next year.

 Transaction code  for Org Structure – ppoma_crm.

Organization  Data in SAP CRM

Organizational management in SAP CRM offers a flexible tool for maintaining the company structure for different scenarios (Sales, Service and Enterprise Buyer Professional).
You can maintain the company structure including the positions and employees in an application and assign specific data (attributes) to the organizational units.
This new maintenance makes new functions possible, for example, you can set the automatic determination of organizational data for the transaction using the organizational model display in Customizing.
  


Attributes of Org Unit
1) Division: Group of similar products called Division
2) Distribution Channel:
a)Is not an independent object. It is an attribute that can be assigned to an organizational unit.
b) Can be replicated from the SAP ECC (during the initial download), or, can be defined in SAP CRM in Customizing.
3) Tupel: Combination of Division and distribution is called Tupel.

Note: To transfer common distribution channel and divisions from R/3 to CRM, you need to start transaction CRMD_DOWNLOAD_OM and execute report with option sales area bundling.

Organizational Management

 Organizational management is used for the mapping of the organizational structure of your company in the CRM organization model

This enables you to:

map your sales, service and marketing structure in the CRM organization model

characterize your organizational units by organizational and general attributes

define rules to determine the responsible organizational unit

The organizational model is time-dependent. This enables you to plan organizational changes in the future.

Organizational units can occur as business partners. The system automatically creates a business partner record for an organizational unit with the organizational unit role. You can find further information under BP Role Organization Unit.

Use of Org Management

·         Set up & maintain company's organizational structure

·         Maintain positions & employee assignment as per your company's structure

·         Assign specific attributes to the organizational units

·         Following are the CRM application areas that uses organizational management:

·         Business transaction: Responsible organizational units can be determined automatically by the system based on the data in transaction document

·         Partner Processing: Partner Determination procedure used to determine parties involved can be based upon the organizational units involved in the business transaction.
